Hooray for Wes Anderson!!!

I LOVE Wes Anderson.... a lot. Like, if he were to show up on my front doorstep to sweep me off of my feet, I would leave my husband. Just like that. Although I'm sure that Jesse would understand (as he loves Mr. Anderson just as much as I do).

My favorites of all his films is The Royal Tenenbaums. LOVE IT!!!!

So I was popping around etsy and started reading the featured seller interview.... and guess what I found!!!

COASTERS!!!!!!!!!!! (oh, you can find them here)

So you know that I immediately ordered these and I will be checking the mail every day until they show up. Soooooo excited!

Somehow I completely forgot

But it SNOWED here last week! I was dropping Layla off at school and her teacher told me that they were going to release the kids out of school early because there was a chance of snow. I thought that this was particularly weird since I'm from Ohio, and we go to school if there's snow.

But I picked her up at noon, and sure enough, four hours later it was snowing. Like, really snowing. Snowed all night in fact.

Mattie was really excited since she's never seen snow before, and Layla got a huge kick out of it!

Here they are in all their glory!

One more new wallet and I think I'm finished for awhile....

I've been on a wallet kick the last couple of days- and I know that ya'll are probably sick to death of my shameless self promotion. I swear, this is it..... and then I'll move on to all of my cute little etsy finds!

I got some new Heather Bailey fabric in today, and thought that it would make the perfect "nautical" feel wallet.

and the inside:

Some Amy Butler

I have been saving bits and scraps of some Amy Butler fabric that I couldn't throw away, but was simply too small to use.

Until today!!! I finally found a use for it:

Also, there's only two (yes 2) more days to enter the free soap giveaway! Please help me out and get rid of some of this soap! :)

Heather Bailey at her best

So I went and ordered an obscene amount of Nicey Jane fabric. I just love looking at it on my shelf and I didn't want to cut into it at all. But then, at 4am, when I woke up (because I must be insane) I thought "Maybe, just maybe I should make a cutesy little wallet out of it". And then I did.

Here are the results:

And the inside:

What do you think? Man, I hope this one sells, because I really really want someone to love it as much as I do!

stolen from miss amy- 7 things you don't know about me

This was a very cool thing that I read about on Amy's blog this morning. I've taken to waking up very very early to start working and reading blogs, and just generally being nosy.
Anyhow, she did this thing where she wrote seven things we didn't know about her, so now I'll do the same. Just because.

1. My husband and I never dated before we got married. We knew each other from elementary school and we used to hang out during and after high school. He came home from military leave during Christmas 4 years ago and we just decided to get married. So we eloped to California (where he was stationed) and we've been together ever since. And they said it would never last!

2. I took ballet for well over 10 years. Now I have really really fugly feet. It's true. You'll never see my feet. I wear socks all the time.

3. I could seriously live off of coffee and nothing else. Food generally is not important to me. My husband makes sure that I eat. I'd probably starve without him. (This is probably because I cannot cook.)

4. In third grade I tried to write a book report on Danielle Steel's book Daddy. Apparently, this was inappropriate and I had to write about To Kill a Mockingbird instead.

5. I have a habit of buying dresses and then returning them the next day. It always seems like a good idea to buy them at the time, but then I realize that I'm just a jeans and sweater/tank top kind of girl.

6. In the last ten years I have lived in 7 states. I hate to move. The next time I move into a house, I vow to live there until I die. The thought of having to unpack another box simply does not thrill me. Here's one of Monterey, Ca:

7. Up until 5 months ago I have killed (not on purpose) every plant that I have ever owned. I was actually surprised when they let me bring my children home from the hospital.
